Eating Clean for Clear Communication with God

We want clear communication and coziness with God so we can be guided as we walk out our purpose here on earth.  As He guides each of our steps and as we’re moving through life, and business, we need to continually ask for support from heaven.  And, we need to be able to hear the guidance.

Our responsibility/privilege is to maintain a clear channel of communication.  So many times that channel gets muddied…there’s static on the line!

What interferes with our communication with God?


1. Stress

2. Processed/packaged fake foods

3. Sugar

4. Lack of hydration

5. Exhaustion

While those things muddle up our communication heavenward, it also messes thing up for our earthly body, too.

It shows up as…

1. Excess weight

2. Chronic health issues and disease

3. Aches/pains

4. Lack of energy

5. Lack of confidence

6. Emotional issues like depression, anxiety

7. Just plain blah.  Your light is dim.  You almost feel like a shell of yourself.

So, how do you eat clean and reclaim your health in order to re-establish your heavenward connection?

Great question.  Glad you asked.

It’s definitely not a quick fix or about taking a pill.  It’s about cultivating a new lifestyle. Cultivating wellness daily.  It’s a journey of self-discovery.  If you take a pill or opt for a “quick fix”, you’re missing out on the beautiful journey of self-discovery.  (Also, a quick fix isn’t a lifestyle and you’ll fall back into old habits immediately.)

Here are some practical steps to reclaim your health and clear the static on the line:

1. Your mind.  

A new lifestyle of healthy eating first starts in the mind.  Your thoughts control your actions.  Your mindset is imperative for creating the health you desire.  We want high-vibrational thoughts and ideas inhabiting your mind.  There’s a lot incorporated into this step.  First, no more negative self-talk.  No more fighting with your body.  This creates stress in the pits your mind against your body.  We want your mind/body/spirit to work TOGETHER to create the health you deserve.  It’s the only way.

Next, be conscious and intentional with your daily choices.  No more autopilot.  Be mindful when you’re eating and why you’re eating.  Listen to your body.

Third, check your beliefs.  Most of us have old beliefs that are keeping us stuck or preventing us from creating the health we want.  Things like, “I’m too old,” “I don’t have time,” “There are too many things already wrong,” “It’s too expensive,” “It’s just in the genes, I have no control,” “I’ve always been this way, so I’ll always be this way,” “It’s too hard,” etc.  It’s time to re-write your beliefs so that they are supportive of where you want to go with your health.

Here are a couple of scripture verses to support you in this area.

 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

2. Reconnect with your body.  

Know it, love it, understand it, support it.  Take time out each day and close your eyes.  Think about each part of your body.  Are you experiencing any aches and pains anywhere?  If so, why?  How can you support your physical body better?  Also, take a moment to practice gratitude for your amazing Miracle Machine!  God created a miracle when He created you.  Sometimes we take it all for granted.  Thank Him for your body.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own.  So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

3. ADD IN the good stuff to crowd out the not-so-good.  

We want to add in the God stuff…fresh leafy greens, fresh fruits and veggies.  Staying as close to God as possible with what you eat, drink, think, and treat your body with will make you the healthiest and happiest version of yourself.  He knew what he was doing when he put this planet together!  Let’s get back to that.

Simple, whole nutrition. It’s not about restriction and denial. It’s about adding in the good.

Eventually you will start craving the good.

Here are some examples of the good stuff to add in: alkalizing foods (leafy greens, veggies), clean water, daily stress reduction, daily PLAY time (physical activity), more sleep.  It’s fun to see how much good stuff you can add in daily!  This is an adventure!

Practically, spend lots of time in the perimeter of your grocery store. Shop at your farmer’s market.  Choose one-ingredient foods.  Get really good at reading labels!  Cook at home.

4. Engage in your purpose.

This is all about health for life purpose.  Engaging in your purpose takes your health journey to a deeper level.  It’s not just about losing weight and fitting into that swimsuit.  It’s about optimizing your health so you can live your purpose with passion and energy.  Your health is foundational to all you’re here to accomplish on this planet!  And, you are here to do big things.  Let your health support it.  When you keep your purpose, your WHY, front and center, it makes it easier to make good choices for your health each day.  How do you stay on a healthy path?  By considering your purpose daily.

A few quick tips in summary:

  • Progress, not perfection.
  • Food craves food
  • Power in your choices
  • Food can be your most powerful form of medicine or your slowest form of poison.
  • Clean eating clears the channels of communication, removes brain fog, opens the heart and mind, allows your soul to breathe and live.
  • High vibrational foods (colorful foods, full of energy) support a high vibrational state of being. That’s what gets us closer to heaven.

“You are the salt of the earth.  But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.  “You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

We are meant to SHINE.  

That’s impossible if there’s so much static on the line that you can’t hear from God.  Clear your connection, seek His guidance, and walk it out!
